Purchase Creates New Market Leader; New Company To Be
Known as PDSHEART
Physicians Diagnostic Services, LLC (PDS), the
leading provider of state-of-the art medical diagnostic
testing devices and test-results support to physicians
and healthcare facilities, today announced the
acquisition of HeartAlert's Telemedicine division,
consolidating the company's market leader position in
the southeast. The new company, to be called PDSHEART,
obtains all proprietary systems and software for
enhanced Holter testing and diagnostic sleep studies.
HeartAlert has been a well-known name in the
diagnostic device market for the past 13 years. Its
product line includes a digital Holter monitor that
provides state-of-the-art accuracy on this proven
diagnostic test, as well as a program for sleep
diagnostic cardiac risk assessment. Data from both tests
can be transmitted via standard telephone lines,
insuring fast test results turnaround. Both products
will survive the takeover.

The financial terms of the deal were not announced.
But in addition to acquiring the Heart Alert product
line, PDSHEART will retain Heart Alert's veteran sales
force, Mr. Heyniger said.
